At the Library

Makenzie made it out to her first knit group last night.  It was at the local library where she met the ladies who come out to do a little bit of knitting and show off any finished creations they made.  Unfortunately, due to library policy I couldn't take a picture of the knitting group without permission of the administration of the main branch of the library.  So, the only picture I could take was of Makenzie's new friend.

While there, she made friends with another monster.  It wasn't a Danger Craft monster but still it was another monster.  The pink friend's name is J.J. - short form of Janelle Jr.

J.J.'s owner, of course is Janelle, loves the colour pink.  Which is why her monster is pink.  Makenzie found out that Janelle and J.J. both love Harry Potter.  I believe that J.J. could be a "Nargle", which according to Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter, has been known to infest mistletoe.  I don't know if that's true or not since there was no mistletoe anywhere in the library.

Makenzie Talks About Travelling

Since Makenzie doesn't have an actual voice, I will be the voice of her for this post.  Eventually, when she travels her hosts (I hope) will add postings of where she has gone and what she saw.  For now, here is what Mackenzie has to say........................

As with all things, there is always a starting place.  Mine starts in London, Ontario, Canada.  It also begins with the the group on Ravelry called Danger Crafts.  This group is for people who enjoy the patterns from Rebecca Danger and her creative monsters.

Within the ravelry group, there is a group of people who are creating travelling monsters.  One group will be within the United States and one International group.  I (or I should say my owner)will be apart of the international group.

What will happen is all people in this travelling monster group will create a monster.   The monster they make will travel to various people for a visit.  During the monsters visit, they will travel with their host in what they do.  Who knows what they will do,  see or experience.  Eventually the monster created will return home from their travels.

The orignal pattern from Danger Crafts is called Chester the Bashful Bunny.  My bunny name will be  Makenzie.  I'm hoping my travels will  by enjoyable and I'll see many great things from around the world before returning home safe and sound.

Also, my owner will be receiving visiting monsters from several different people over the next couple of months.  Not all at once but  one at a time for a short period of time.  In turn the visiting monstersI will new sights of in and around London, Ontario, Canada.

Here I am at home.  I am ready to go travelling around the world.  Of course, I will do a few things before I head out on my travels.  Tonight is there is a knitting group at a local library that I will be going to.  My nemesis will be there with her owner, Janelle.  I can only hope I survive the night.
